Agreement between user and AltTextLab.com

Welcome to AltTextLab.com. The AltTextLab.com website (the “Site”) and the services it provides (the “Service”) are comprised of various web pages, public API endpoints, and application integrations. By accessing or using the Site and the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”), without modification. Payment Processing

Payments for our services are processed by our payment partner, Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all customer billing and manages transaction-related issues on our behalf. You will see "Paddle" or "Paddle.com" on your payment statement.

By purchasing through Paddle, you agree to their Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again.

We offer refunds in the following cases:

• Duplicate payment: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same subscription period.
• Accidental upgrade: If you unintentionally selected a higher-tier plan and notify us within 3 days of the charge.
• Technical issues: If you experience persistent technical problems that prevent you from using the service and we are unable to resolve them within a reasonable time.
• First-time subscriptions: If you are not satisfied with the service and request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase.

To request a refund, please contact our support team at [support email] within the eligible timeframe. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.

We reserve the right to decline refund requests that fall outside the above conditions or are submitted after the specified timeframes.

If you request a refund for a prepaid subscription (monthly or annual), we may issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription, based on the number of full unused days or credits, at our sole discretion.

You may not copy, modify, publish, reverse engineer, sell, or exploit any part of the Service without express written permission.

Usage Limitations

You may not use the Site or API to:

• Provide real-time alt text for websites via per-request API calls.
• Create or support products for securities trading, medical diagnostics, or adult content.
• Build competing services using our API or bypass published rate limits.

Violation may result in termination without refund.

Web Snippet Feature

• The Web Snippet feature is available only with an active AltTextLab subscription.
• Without an active subscription, new images on your website will not receive automatically generated or applied alt text.
• Accounts using the Web Snippet may store, in total, up to one hundred (100) times their monthly credit allowance in cached alt texts. For annual subscriptions, the “monthly credit allowance” is calculated as the total annual credits divided by twelve (12).
• If you exceed this storage limit, you will be required to upgrade to a plan with a higher monthly credit allowance to continue using the Web Snippet feature without interruption.

AltTextLab reserves the right to monitor and enforce these limits.

Communication Services

If the Site offers chat areas or forums (“Communication Services”), you agree to use them respectfully and lawfully. We reserve the right to monitor and remove inappropriate content and to terminate access to Communication Services at any time.

Use of Artificial Intelligence and Data

The Service utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. All content generated using the Service is for your use only. We do not use user-generated data or input data for training AI models. Input files (e.g., images) are processed solely to return results and are not stored or shared except as needed for service delivery.

Developer API

Use of our Developer API is permitted with your account. You agree not to:

• Use the API to create a competing service.
• Consistently violate API rate limits.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts violating these terms without notice or refund.

Ownership of Generated Content

You retain full ownership of the alt text and other content generated via the Service. We do not claim rights over user-generated output. Your content is stored on our servers solely to provide account-based access and will not be used for AI training or shared with third parties.

You are responsible for managing and deleting your content. Deletions are permanent and may not be recoverable.

‍

Third-Party Account Integration

You may link your AltTextLab.com account to third-party services. By doing so, you authorize the release of certain information to those services, subject to your privacy settings on each platform.

International Use

The Service is operated from within the European Union. If you access the Service from another country, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AltTextLab.com, its owner, employees, and partners from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of the Site, any content you submit, your breach of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.

Disclaimer of Liability
