This error means your AltTextLab account has run out of available credits. The add-on uses credits to generate alt text for images, and once your credit balance reaches zero, it can’t process any more requests until you add more.
Possible causes
- You used up all your credits.
- You’re on a free trial and have reached its limit of credits.
How to fix it
Follow these steps to get your API key and add it to the extension:
- Log into your account
Go to AltTextLab.com and log in. - Go to the subscription plans page
After logging in, navigate to the Plans & Pricing page. - Choose or update your plan
- If you don’t have an active subscription, select a plan that fits your needs.
- If you already have a subscription but need more credits, upgrade to a plan with a higher credit limit. - Complete the payment
Follow the checkout process to confirm your selection and activate the plan. - Retry using the extension
Return to the site where you were working and try again — the extension should now generate alt text normally.
