WooCommerce support is part of the AltTextLab WordPress plugin. If you haven’t set it up yet, start with installation and settings. AltTextLab automatically detects whether WooCommerce is installed and active. If it is, a dedicated WooCommerce section appears in the plugin settings. E-commerce mode generates alt text optimized for product listings. Instead of a generic visual description, the output emphasizes the product’s specific attributes — name, brand, color, and material.Documentation Index

Enabling e-commerce mode
Go to AltTextLab → Settings and enable at least one product parameter in the WooCommerce section — product name, brand, color, or material. E-commerce mode activates automatically as soon as any of these options are turned on.What data the plugin uses
You can configure which fields to use in the WooCommerce settings.| Field | Source in WooCommerce |
|---|---|
| Product name | Product title |
| Brand | Brand attribute |
| Color | Color attribute (configurable slug) |
| Material | Material attribute (configurable slug) |
E-commerce mode works for product featured images and gallery images. It does not affect images in posts, pages, or the general media library.
