Logs

Go to AltTextLab → Logs to view a record of recent generation activity, including any errors returned by the API.

Bulk generation is slow or stuck

Bulk generation runs through Craft’s queue system. If generation seems to be taking a long time:
  1. Check Queue Manager to confirm the jobs are running.
  2. If jobs are stalled, restart the queue runner.
  3. Review your queue.log files for detailed error messages.

Alt text is not appearing after upload

Automatic generation takes a few seconds after upload. Wait a moment and refresh the asset — the alt text should appear shortly. If it still does not appear, check AltTextLab → Logs for any errors related to that asset.

Multi-site: alt text is not translating per site

The target field must have its Translation Method set to Translate for each site or Translate for each language. Check the field configuration in Settings → Assets (native alt field) or Settings → Fields (custom fields).
